GECA Spring Newsletter: The Summer Solstice Edition
Summer Newsletter Update
As we celebrate the arrival of summer following the Summer Solstice, we wish everyone a happy and safe season. Happy 159th birthday, Canada!
Since the GECA Annual General Meeting in early May, several exciting developments and community updates have taken place.
Community Tree Planting Success

In mid-May, more than 70 trees were planted to screen the composite dump at the corner of Gleneagles Drive and Gleneagles Boulevard.
A heartfelt thank you to the many volunteers who came out to dig holes, plant trees, and spread mulch. Your time and effort have helped make Gleneagles greener for years to come.
Special thanks go to Robin Wentzel for securing the trees and coordinating the planting project, and to Slade King, General Manager of The Links at Gleneagles, for providing the equipment, assisting with the planting and committing to watering the new trees for the next few years as they get established. Speaking of The Links…
The Eagle’s Nest Resident Discount
Effective June 1, The Eagle’s Nest Restaurant & Lounge at The Links at Gleneagles is pleased to offer Gleneagles residents a 10% discount on food and beverages.
Simply present proof of residency, such as a driver’s licence or utility bill, to enjoy the discount. It’s a wonderful opportunity to support a local business while enjoying great food and spectacular views. Thank you, Slade!
New Paved Pathway
A new paved pathway is open between Landing Boulevard and the walking path at the south end of Gleneagles View. Thank you to the Town for undertaking this project. Be sure to check it out on your next walk!
